You should borrow only?what you need. Students often borrow the maximum amount they are awarded and are later unable to repay their student loans. To determine how much you should borrow:
- Know what your educational goals are (PCC’s academic advising can help you)
- Visit with a career counselor to figure out how much money you’re likely to make when you graduate
