Course Description
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to:
- Perform dance fitness choreography at a proficient level.
- Articulate an understanding of interval training and its benefits to fitness.
- Improve overall physical conditioning and fitness through continued participation in dance fitness.
- Identify different music from different countries and genres.
- Identify and analyze the importance of health and safety while performing activity- based movements.
- Demonstrate proper form and technique while using integrated footwork and dance movements in a progressive sequence.
- Discuss the lifelong benefits of aerobic fitness.
Course Activities and Design
**Perform safe and effective Dance fitness choreography
*Identify different rhythms, step patterns and techniques associated with world music
