Course Description
Equips staff with practical communication tools for crisis and triage settings. Participants learn about nervous system responses, unconscious bias, and inter-cultural strategies to support calm, clarity, and compassion when working with people in crisis.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon successful completion of the course students should be able to:
Explain how stress, trauma, and the nervous system influence communication in crisis and emergency situations.
Integrate cultural awareness, communication styles, and bias recognition when responding to diverse populations in crisis.
