Welcome to BA 100: Business Career Planning Intended Outcomes for the Course:

• This course introduces students to career planning and employment communication in business to maximize employment opportunities. It is designed to be taken early in the student’s business degree program.
• Career management and planning involves helping people choose or enter an occupation. It also includes self-assessment of interests, values, and skills, understanding the steps in career decision-making, and learning the necessary employability skills to obtain and keep a job once a choice has been made.
• The mission of this course is to provide an opportunity for students to learn about and develop the necessary skills to assist in career planning. It is recommended that students take this course to help them secure beneficial internships and better prepare for work in their desired field once they graduate.

Students in this course are expected to attend the weekly zoom class, check announcements and email, study the learning materials, complete assignments, and work on projects. For each credit hour, a student should expect to spend at least 3 hours each week during a 12-week course. You can expect to spend at least 6 hours per week on this 2 credit course.

It's important to read through everything carefully. Read, and then read again.
