Details about this class
A code for XtremeLabs must be purchased from the PCC bookstore. You will find a link to it in the "Course Materials" area where the course is listed on the PCC website.
Technology
- This class uses the XtremeLabs online hosting service. A good Internet connection is required because the labs will only work online.
- One of the following browsers is required: Chrome, Edge or Safari. Firefox is not recommended because it does not size the windows properly in XtremeLabs.
- You must be able to create documents in Word (or another program printed to PDF), and paste screenshots into them. Word can be downloaded for free as part of Office 365; see the link "Microsoft Azure and Office 365 free downloads for Students" under Course Information for details. Hints on creating screenshots may be found in the "XtremeLabs Setup and Login Instructions" document under Module 1.
- The course may be taken on a computer running Windows 10 or 11, Mac OS X (Intel/M1/M2/M3) or Linux with a good Internet connection.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
