Today we reviewed Unit 5 and the simple present. Here are?the slides. We did reading and speaking with “My Job”, p. 100 and listening with p. 96.
Some students took the CASAS post-test. If you did not take the test today, you will take it later after you have 40 hours of class since your pre-test at the start of the term.
On?Friday?we will have the Unit 5 test. It is about Airport Jobs. Here is what to study:
- Airport jobs vocabulary, p. 86 and job duties
- Work benefits, p. 94
- Yes/no questions and answers with do and does
- Wh-questions including Who-questions (answering and writing)
- Reading comprehension
- Listening comprehension
- Grammar: third-person?+ Verb?+s (He works.)
Here is your?homework:
- Prepare for the Unit 5 test.
- Finish your Unit 5 Workbook Packet. If you already finished it, check the parts that you?got wrong.
- Listen again to the job interview we listened to in class.
- Read the paragraph about My Job again.
- Work on extra?practice??#5?(practice?each skill – you choose how) and then fill out the?chart?(or you can call me or e-mail me). Due Monday.
- Finish late work and corrections.
On?Friday, we will do a short review before the test at 9:00. The test will be from 9:30-10:30 and then you can take a break. From 11:00-11:50 we will visit the library. Please bring your PCC ID card so you can check out a book.
